Privacy Policy
This policy explains how personal data is processed in the Veraset
service under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data
("KVKK"). *The data controller's identity and contact details will be
announced on this page upon commercial launch.*
1. Data we process
- Account data: name, e-mail, password (irreversible hash),
language and timezone preferences, optional profile photo.
- Document and content data: the inheritance certificate and
land-registry documents you upload; identity data of the deceased
and the heirs extracted from them (Turkish ID number, name, parents'
names, birth date), property and share data; contact details you
enter manually; the generated declaration documents.
- Transaction data: credit ledger entries, generation and
correction records, audit trails.
- Technical data: session data, server logs, device identifiers
for push notifications.
2. Third-party data
Data of the deceased and other heirs is uploaded by you within your
own legal relationship and is processed solely to generate the
declaration forms — never for any other purpose.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Data is processed to provide the service (**performance of the
contract), to secure accounts and prevent abuse (legitimate
interest), and to meet record-keeping duties (legal obligation**).
4. Land-registry lookups
To display the real parcel boundary, only the province/district/
neighbourhood names and the block/parcel numbers are sent to the TKGM
service; no personal data is ever sent.
5. Sharing
Your data is never sold or shared for advertising. Data is hosted on
servers located in Türkiye. Infrastructure processors may be used
under contract (e.g. the push delivery service receives only the
device identifier and the notification content). Lawful requests by
competent authorities are reserved.
6. Retention and deletion
Data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account,
your files, uploaded documents and generated PDFs are permanently
removed; only transaction/audit records subject to statutory
retention are kept for the applicable period.
7. Security
Documents are stored outside public reach and served only to their
owner; data in transit is encrypted; critical operations are audited.
8. Your rights (KVKK art. 11)
You may request access, rectification, erasure, objection and
information about transfers. Apply via the in-app feedback channel or
the contact address to be announced on this page.
9. Cookies
Only cookies strictly necessary for the session are used; there are no
advertising or tracking cookies. Device preferences such as the theme
stay in your browser.
10. Changes
This policy may be updated; material changes require you to accept the
new version.
